Wanted: Washing machine in working order

I have a friend who has just bought a 2nd hand washing machine - not cheaply (!) - and it's packed up after 2 washes. He's hardly got 2 pennies to rub together and has a young lad to care for. Has anyone got a washing machine in good working order that they no longer need please? Collection is not a problem. I know that he would be so gratefull.........
