Wanted: Something to use for cabinet top

Before you consider tossing or donating that odd slab... we are trying to find a top to use as a counter for VERY small cabinet - 24.25 x 24.5 or 25 x 25. This is for my mom- she does NOT want wood. She wants marble or slate or soap-stone or metal or melamine or even frosted glass might work - something she can place food on and not worry - even high-end cutting board material might work. if it is larger but meets the minimum size - we might be able to get it cut... Thank you
