Wanted: Lawnmower, please?

Having just moved, I now need a lawnmower for my large lawn. I have never had a lawn before but I certainly have one now. I'm not fussy about how it looks so long as it is a reliable machine that is simple to use. Many thanks for reading this and I do hope you can help.
