Wanted: Ipad for 2 cancer patients

We: Mum & I both have cancer (Specialist letters/reports available) and numerous other medical conditions too. We both have to go to hospital numerous times weekly for treatment and appointments. Long operation and hospital stay also imminent. Nurses suggested an iPad may help at least as a bit of a distraction (giving us something to do during our treatments and after operation). Could anyone help please (neither of us can afford one). It really would make a HUGE difference to us both! :) Sorry for the big / unusual ask!
