Wanted: Canon lens/nikon

Can anyone help me please? I need a Nikon macro manual lens or Canon telephoto lens. I'm on a course. I love photography with a passion. I have a Canon dslr camera, but not a proper lens. My tutor said that any Nikon manual macro lens or any old lens can fit any Canon camera. Mine is a 600d. Can someone help me with a lens or where I can get a cheap lens? Thanks
