Wanted: Cage for hamster

Any condition cage that would be suitable for hamster as my animal loving son has been given the offer of one but i cannot afford cage, so can not tell the person I can have it until I get one, can collect from anywhere and am quite a dab hand at diy & fixing things. Thank you
