Wanted: Bike for 21 year old male

I know this a long shot but I suppose if you don't ask! A few months ago a friend had his bike stolen from Bristol. He had cycled from Nailsea to meet up with friend. He locked it up across the road from the hippodrome. Sadly, someone stole the lock. chain and the bike. There was nothing on cctv as a van had parked blocking any view. It has been reported but we know it could be anywhere. His bike was only 2 months old. His only earns a low wage, so can't afford a replacement. If anyone has a bike they no longer use or is selling one for a reasonable amount please give me a shout. Ty for reading.
