Are you still looking for a double bed? I have only just seen this. I have a double bed , divan type bed base. It is usable, I slept on it until I moved into a flat. It has scratches on the upholstery as I used to have a cat but not too bad. . I live in Walsall . You would be welcome to come and look but if you did not want it I wouldn't mind.
