Wanted: An old kitchen unit, or similar

I need something that will take the weight [variable] and length [1m+] of my plant propagator this winter. An old kitchen unit with its counter seems the most useful, but an old desk that won't collapse.... basically anything that's rectangular, capable of weight-bearing and otherwise going to the tip! I'm in Tickenham. Thanks.
