Removing my items from my list

I am struggling to delete items from my list once they have been collected. I am sure it is easy but when I click to delete/remove it doesn't disappear!

I have had similar problems when trying to EDIT ads - I have a feeling that ANY changes you make take some considerable time to show on the site (could this be because everything is scrutised first?) - but only a guess!
