Having items for sale on FreelyWheely is NOT a new thing.

All the details

I have just received an email from FreelyWheely stating that "Having items for sale on FreelyWheely is a new thing" - there are masses of comments (though I don't know how to add to them, hence this discussion) stating that, and the clue is in the name, that everything should be free. But I was introduced to FW by a friend when I wanted to sell stuff and I have had no problems listing stuff for sale as well as free. When you go into "Add an Item" there is a heading "Choose what you want to do..." and below that are four buttons one of which is "Sell something - This means you would like to sell an item, rather than freecycle it" so why are they now saying it is a new thing?

Hi there, it's relatively new - but you're right, not that new and we should probably update our emails :) Freelywheely was originally started to just offer free stuff, but we quickly realised that people were selling things here too, and rather than keep deleting and banning and getting upset about it, we added the option to sell stuff too - for free (see what we did there?), but we kind of kept it on the down low, and never really made a fuss about it, just mentioned it quietly in the emails we send to people............ Anyway. There you have it. You can sell stuff, you can give stuff away - it's free to do so :) Cheers Freelywheely Trish
