Finished items coming up in searches....

Is there anyway that 'finished' or 'removed' listings can be taken off Freelywheely? When I've searched for an 'available' item it's also bringing up lots of items which have finished. I'm sure all these finished/ removed items must also be clogging up the system. Don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same. Also just a small thing, when I selected the 'discussion' option on the home page it took me to 'add wanted'. I had to independently select 'start a discussion'
