There is a vast amount of yarn available, some sorted into colours, some loose, some wound in balls, some wool, some silk, some smooth, some knobbly, from the responses I have received I am trying to sort out who might be able to use this hoard. Please bear with me while I come up with a solution.

Are there any tapestry weavers out there? There are so unusual yearns in this hoard that could be particularly appropriate to someone doing this type of work

if you're sorting into weights/types etc, It might be useful for you to know that I can best use bright chunky/double knit for the charity blankets and soft baby double/4 ply for the many items. hope this helps and happy sorting!

The more I sort the more I realise that the ideal person/people to have a lot of these yarns would be those experimenting with weaving. I've sorted some that is ideal for knitting/ crochet but the rest is more appropriate for weaving, tapestry weaving and collage. If anything is not suitable for the person who receives it, perhaps they might consider givingit to a local school.

I would be interested in the weaving yarns as doing wall hangings. Have they gone yet? I'm in Salwayash.
