All the details

A large carrier bag full of political and trade union badges collected over 40 years or so, with a mixture of metal badges from individual pits collected during the miners strike, badges produced by union branches and trades union councils during a variety of campaigns, and an almost unlimited number produced by the GLC. Everyone of them represents a moment in recent history when people decided something was worth fighting for - it seems that we lost too many of these but I guess we always learnt something. There you go, a chance for nostalgia about the struggles you or maybe your parents or even grandparents lived through. Free to the quickest bidder. Regards Sam Gunn

I would find these fantastic but sadly i am to far from you to collect! Have you thought about donating them to the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield

Have you tried selling on ebay. I agree that first refusal should go to a museum because of the history they tell

let me know if still available please

It would be great to keep this complete for the history they tell. If they went on Ebay as a whole that would be fine! As I can't collect I would be happy to pay postage if that were acceptable and keep the collection together!!?

Sorry to confuse i did at the start say i was interested for the badges but said i could not pick up so didn't request it even thought i would have liked it hence i mentioned i would pay for postage but didn't think you would be interested. I certainly think it is an interesting item that is a fascinating item which would be a shame to split as the other contributor said!
