Ideal if you're a jam/chutney maker, an art teacher wanting painting water pots or for storing fresh berries like strawberries (known to last 3 times as long stored in a glass jar). Where I relocated from (lived there 24 years) , glass jars were recycled by the local WI for their weekly market and did not get mixed into the recycling bin. Old habits die hard, so I'm still collecting them(!)
