Traditional 4-person ridge tent and bell-end extension

Although old – you can judge the age from the photos! – this tent is still serviceable. It will accommodate 4 people at a pinch, but is a comfortable size for two. It is made from heavy duty cotton, with a liner tent and a built-in groundsheet. The aluminium A-frame means that the entrance is not impeded by a pole. The tent has a bell end, providing useful storage space, but comes complete with an extension that provides additional storage space and an area that can be used for cooking. The sides of the extension can be raised to provide shade and to allow additional ventilation. The tent can be used with or without the extension (see photos). Because of its construction it is quite heavy, so is only suitable for transportation by car. As it has not been used for several years it may require some minor attention and possibly reproofing, although it was waterproof when last erected. It has been stored in a dry garage in its original carry bags (see photo).
