Smokeless fuel / smokeless coal

We found a load of what looks like smokeless coal briquettes, loose in the cellar of the house we've just rented. The landlord doesn't want it, and we have no use for it. There's around 40-50kg of the stuff, I've already bagged it up ready to go. It's free to a good home, just be aware: 1) I could be wrong about what it is! But it is definitely a formed, coal-based fuel, so I guess it is almost certainly smokeless. 2) Some of the briquettes (about 10%) are quite dirty with brick dust.
