Non-working colour printer

I do not want to add an item to landfill unnecessarily. I could not find anybody to repair my HP Photosmart printer. I believe, although not certain, that it is the black cartridge mechanism that has ceased up, but is otherwise fine. If anybody likes to repair such things, then keep or give away, please do so. Repairing anyway is much more expensive than buying new which wasn't the case when I was young, but I repeat, I hate to fill in holes in our country if I can avoid it.
