Laptop and netbook

I obtained this, a Compaq/HP laptop to experiment with the Linux operating system. I have now installed Linux Mint Cinnamon removing Windows. The laptop is elderly, in PC terms, and I've had my fun, so I'm passing it on to someone, hopefully, to keep it out of landfill. The Linux system will allow office work (with Linux own versions of word processing, spreadsheets etc.) and browsing the net with Firefox. You can attach external drives, print from it, organise your files, use memory sticks etc. The Compaq has a DVD player, though I admit I haven't tried this out. So, a possible spare, child use, something to experiment with, whatever you like, just doing my bit for the planet. The pictures show the Linux layout and an example screen of the Word processor programme. It has a power cable, though you'll need to get your own mouse.
