Just FYI, it may be a blockage in the outlet pipe, or the sump at the bottom of the dishwasher. We've had this twice, and I fixed it ok without any specialist knowledge, and ours is still going strong after 10 years, so we're overdue for it to happen again! Just in case you fancy giving it a go before shelling out for a new one...
