Sorry I forgot to say it was for my daughter she’s just moved to a tiny house in Canterbury with no furniture and wanted it for a nook in her living room from under stairs to the French door, it would be her main storage in the room, thanks for considering us. Andrea

It seems to have holes in the top. What are these? Is it actually made of the wood called 'oak'?
