Vintage Welsh Cheese Butter Cracker Wire Cutter/Slicer Board/Platter Retro VGC Vintage cheese wire cutter board/platter by "Wood Wot Knots" (of Caldicot, Wales). This is an attractive cheese cutter wooden (oak?) board with a ceramic tile surface which has a colourful graphic of the “Old Coach House, Bristol” and a cheese wire cutter. The size of the board (not including the cutter) is approximately 20.5cm x 18.5cm or 8¼" long x 7¼" wide (board only) and 9" long x 7¼" wide (board & slicer arm) These were popular in the 1980s (and probably before!) and actually work pretty well for cutting cheese (I’ve also heard of them being used to cut butter!). It would also form an ideal focal point on a table and an unusual conversation piece - ideal for entertaining at dinner parties.
