VINTAGE MOTHERCARE SWINGING CRIB This beautiful ‘Mothercare’ swinging crib is now 50 years old (and is now surplus to requirements since the young man it was originally purchased for has out-grown it!). Purchased new in St Albans in 1971 (and actually manufactured by long-established UK manufacturer A. Baveystock and Co), this crib has cradled two young men in their early days and subsequently seen duty as an annual family Christmas present repository! It is in remarkable overall condition (see photos) and has been manufactured in a fine, light-coloured, wood (believed to be Beech or Birch). It features a locking screw (to prevent swinging when required) and is complete with the original (now rather battered) box!
