The Kmise Concert Banjulele (Ukulele banjo) This is the type of Ukulele that was played by George Formby and this is the concert size. It is well made, with back and sides, neck and fretboard of maple. The sides and fretboard are trimmed with ebony and the bridge saddle is rosewood. Closed tuners in chrome plate are easy for accurate adjustment of tuning. High quality Aquila nylon strings are fitted for maximum volume and tone. The resonator fitted to the back of the body can be removed for a brighter traditional tone if desired. 18 nickel silver frets are carefully finished to avoid scratching fingers. Ebony position inlays placed at 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th and15, frets. 12 chrome brackets are used to hold the tone ring in place and to adjust the drum head tension. The tailpiece is stainless steel. A co-coordinator rod is installed between the neck and the bottom of the body to adjust the action of the strings. The whole presentation is a handsome instrument to give pleasure to the player.
