Apex 4100i The machine looks simple but stylish, with the console being supported by two nicely curved poles. The 20 inches wide and 55 inches long treadbelt provides a large and comfortable walking surface, even for taller people who have longer stride. The deck is cushioned for reduced impact on the joints. The treadmill is powered by a 2 HP continuous duty motor. Two side handles are provided to hold on to during the workout. The treadmill comes with two 2-pound hand weights, so you can exercise your upper body as well. Max weight is 300lbs. Excellent working condition. The machine has the speed range from 0 to 12 miles per hour, which is higher than many other treadmills that onlygo up to 10 or 11 mph. The speed increases in .10 mph increments, or you can use the quick speed buttons that have numbers from 1 to 12: if you want the speed of 3 miles per hour, just press the "3" button. The incline range is from 0 to 12%, and the incline increases or decreases a half-percent at a time, also with a touch of a button on the console. The console has a display that showsyou all the regular data like speed, time, distance, calories burned, and heart rate sensors built in below that you can attach. There are 20 pre-set workout programs in this treadmill that will automatically change the speed and incline for you as you go. As usual, they start at a slower pace and then gradually increase the difficulty. The programs vary in intensity and type: some of them are walking programs, others are jogging, andstill others are running programs. The Manual mode is also available, letting you put in your own settings and exercise in any way you like.
