BT ‘SIMPLER’ DIGITAL HOMEPLUG POWERLINE ETHERNET ADAPTER 200Mmps KIT (2 Units). No Configuration Required - UK ‘Pass-Through’ Plugs - Cures Weak Wi-Fi & more! Complete with 2 No. Black Ethernet cables! Model: HP200PT64BT2. Brand new & boxed. WHAT IS A HOMEPLUG & WHAT IS IT FOR? WHAT DOES IT DO FOR ME? You have signed up for broadband (so that you can access the Internet). It arrives at your hub (or router). What then? Well, you can plug in your computer directly to the hub with a cable (but only easily if the two are close by) OR you can use Wi-Fi so that your laptop and phone can also get online from different rooms. What‘s wrong with that? Several things - firstly, Wi-Fi is pretty slow (ever had YouTube ‘buffering’ or slow access to websites?). Secondly the range of Wi-Fi is very limited – and put a couple of room-dividing brick walls into the mix and then you may either loose the connection altogether, or else find that it’s now even slower than ever. Thirdly, Wi-Fi is potentially not very secure. So what are the alternatives? You could ‘wire-up’ your whole home/business so that every device has a direct wired connection back to the hub – but that’s both disruptive & expensive (even though effective). OR, you could make use of your existing ‘mains’ ELECTRICAL wiring system to do the same job! That’s where ‘HomePlugs’ come in – have one close by (and connected to) the hub and another in the shed down the garden, etc., (you need a minimum of two units) and you’re in business!. The system can also easily be extended to SEVERAL units in different places (or, alternatively, you can simply MOVE the ‘remote’ unit from room to room as required!). With so many folk working from home at the moment, wouldn’t faster, more solid Internet be a definite bonus?! But – do you have the necessary ‘technical’ skills to install this hi-tech equipment you ask? Well, you plugged your computer in didn’t you? If the answer to that is ‘yes’ – then you’re qualified! These are “Plug-and-Play” units! Plug each of the two HomePlugs into suitable power-points (one near the hub/router, the other where you have your computer plugged in), connect the two supplied cables to the hub and computer respectively, and away you go – fast! PDF instructions included (although you’ll hardly need them having read this!). • Up to 200 Mbps data rates with Encryption • Reliable and secure, unlike potentially unsecure WiFi • Simple plug & play set up with sync buttons • Uses existing plug & electrical network in your house • No long wires from your router to devices • Once setup you can even move them to different sockets and they automatically reconnect in a few seconds. 2x BT Simpler Networks HP200PT64BT2 ‘Passthrough’ powerline adapters, together with 2 x Black Ethernet cables (this provides a wired connection, not a wireless one). 200Mbps maximum data rate. These powerline adapters will work with all broadband providers and come with a Mains ‘Passthrough’ - so you will not lose a power socket. The 2 x adapters are paired and will work for any device with an Ethernet network socket (computers, laptops, games consoles, YouView, BT Vision, other TV set top boxes, smart TVs, etc.) and support throughput speeds up to 200 Mbps (which is higher than a Wi-Fi connection and also more stable). Simply plug one adapter into a wall socket (not an extension lead) close to your router and connect the adapter to the router via one of the Ethernet cables. Take the other adapter to whichever room you require an on-line connection, plug it into a wall socket and connect it to the LAN socket of a device (Smart TV, TV box, laptop,CCTV, etc.) using the second Ethernet cable. The broadband signal will then be transmitted between the adapters and to the connected device using the electrical wiring in the home as a conduit. Eliminate the problem of Wi-Fi black spots in home by using these powerline adapters. Could send via Royal Mail if preferred or required (+ £4)
