A PAIR OF SPEAKER CABINETS / CASES / BOXES A pair of medium-sized, full-range (2 speakers in each case) veneer-finished timber speaker cabinets in very good condition. Removable chocolate-coloured, cloth-covered, fronts. Each case is : 602mm high x 300mm wide x 235mm deep. A key component in the sound quality emanating from a set of speakers is the mass of the cabinets and these do not disappoint in that department, weighing in at 7.5Kg EACH! Complete with the pair of cable-securing plastic plugs for the rear cable exit holes (one slightly chewed during removal!). Although originally branded 'Goodmans', I have replaced these speakers (which failed) with 'Sony' branded speakers in absolutely identical cabinets!! I understand that this is due to speakers manufacturers “buying-in” their cabinets from specialist wood-working companies. An ideal opportunity for someone wishing to construct an attractive pair of speakers using their own speaker units /to their own specification.
